It’s Black History Month! Black People in European History #7

It's Black History Month! Every day I will post something that shows the deep and rich history of Black people in Europe, so no one ever again questions why Black actors should be cast in all the films, plays, and shows about European history or based on fictionalized European history like Lord of the Rings and The Witcher.

February 7: The Queen of Sheba. This Biblical story was depicted often in Medieval European art. Modern historians state that Sheba was most likely Saba, an ancient kingdom located in Yemen and Ethiopia. Whether the story of the Queen of Sheba is real or not is immaterial; what matters here is that Medieval Europeans believed it, and depicted her as a Black, beautiful, wealthy, and powerful monarch. The image comes from a Bavarian manuscript, "Bellifortis," by Conrad Kyeser, c. 1402. Cast Black actors!
